FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Unfortunately, we do not accept any insurance plans and are considered out-of-network providers for all insurance carriers.

It can be tough to take the initial plunge of paying for something intangible - We get that! The long term benefits of working with a Rise Coach ultimately becomes priceless as you become more equipped with tools and techniques to effectively manage life's stressors at work, in sport, and with loved ones at home.

Investing in a Rise Coach is an investment in YOU.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING OUR SESSIONS?

Mental Performance Coaching is a threefold process:

A) 1:1 CONVERSATIONS

We discuss and create goals, clarify your values, and uncover your pain points; learning the techniques useful for YOU to gain access to a stronger version of yourself.

B) AT HOME INTEGRATION AND PRACTICE

This is where you bring what we talk about in our session into your LIFE; trying it on for size.

C) REFLECTION

After you "try on" what we talk about integrating in your life, you check in with yourself to see what needs tweaking - and we make the appropriate tweaks in future sessions!

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I START TO SEE THE CHANGES I HOPE FOR?

For some clients, it can take 3-5 sessions to feel equipped with tools to help manage stress and overcome performance barriers. For others, mental performance coaching is an ongoing process of learning how to 'grow with flow' and be 1% better each day as we face new challenges in each season of our lives.

We inherently understand that a handful of sessions at the gym won't help us get physically stronger in the long run - mental skills training is no different. The mind is a fancy muscle; the more we exercise it, the stronger it gets. With practice comes progress!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MENTAL PERFORMANCE CONSULTING AND THERAPY?

Mental Performance Consulting and therapy wonderfully complement each other AND they do differ in focus, scope, and direction of care.

Therapy is geared to help you process and understand your past, including trauma, or any diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, or obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Mental Performance Coaching is present and future focused; most of our work will be action-oriented. Together, we envision how you want your life to look different, and make steps towards creating that life!
