The C.A.L.M Model of Performance Excellence
Throughout our work together we will follow the C.A.L.M. model to help you clarify your reason for diving into Mental Performance Coaching, and ensure we are always on the right track of working through what's most important to you.
C.A.L.M.
CLARIFY
-
Understand your goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely) and intentions for spending the emotional, mental, logistical, and financial resources on coaching right NOW in your life
-
Understand the values (your guiding north stars) that DRIVE you to wake up and do your best daily
 - Outcome: Cleary defined areas of focus
C.A.L.M.
ACCEPT
-
Accept the challenges that get in the way of performing at your peak ability and enjoying your sport
(i.e., fear, performance anxiety, interpersonal conflicts) -
Diligently practice mindfulness exercises that provide the presence needed to make fruitful change
-
With a foundation of acceptance and mindfulness practice in your arsenal, you’ll be able to notice where you are RIGHT NOW and make adjustments hourly, daily, weekly to compassionately push yourself. The goal is NOT to get rid of the anxiety, nerves, pressure, or conflicts - the goal is to create a different relationship TO these challenges.
-
- Outcome: consistency stronger self compassion and increase resilience to burnout
